Our Story
Naut. Holiday Cottages is a family business born in 2021 when we decided to escape the city and leave successful careers in the finance and legal industries to create and manage our own holiday lets on an old farm in West Cornwall.
We have spent years managing and optimising every single aspect of holiday letting i.e. planning, building, interior design, marketing, management, guest engagement and experience, maintenance and cleaning. We have learned a lot over the years and are proud to say that our efforts have been rewarded with a 5* review rate of 100%, Superhost status and being ranked in the top 5% of homes globally on Airbnb. We are a holiday let business that outperforms the market year on year.
We want to share our learnings and experience with you to help you maximise your earnings while giving your guests the best possible holiday.
Meet The Team
Harriet
Growing up, Harriet spent most of her Summer holidays in Cornwall visiting her grandparents who are originally from St Mawes.
Harriet has worked as a commercial litigation lawyer in a top tier international firm for 12 years, dealing with a wide range of clients and issues. She is used to working in a rigorous and demanding environment. Harriet is the main point of contact for our guests, always making sure that we provide the best service possible for your guests and yourselves, exceeding expectations.
When she is not working she can usually be found swimming, cycling and running around Cornwall's coastline, or at the beach with our young family.
Sylvain
Sylvain grew up in Reunion Island, a French tropical island in the Indian Ocean, and has fond memories growing up on his parents’ small farm and surfing.
Sylvain trained as an IT specialist and worked for more than 10 years in the financial industry in London. On moving to Cornwall Sylvain taught himself how to renovate/refurbish his own properties and acquired knowledge and skills in most trades along the way.
His obsession for optimisation and automation of processes combined with his keen interest in DIY proved to be very valuable skills in managing and optimising holiday homes.
In his spare time Sylvain is a keen fitness enthusiast and surfer.
